Cuisine American
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk or 7 ounces condensed milk (about ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons)
- 6 cups whole milk or a mix of milk and half and half for extra creaminess
- 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Add all of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Give it a good whisk to combine them—especially the cocoa powder, as it can clump.
Cook the ingredients on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally to make sure the chocolate melts evenly.
After 2 hours have passed, stir the hot chocolate well. If it feels a little thick, then add more milk to reach your desired consistency. Adjust the sweetness if needed by adding a touch of sugar or more condensed milk.
Ladle the hot cocoa into mugs and keep the slow cooker on “warm” during your party.
