This post is all about early fall beauty finds.
Now that fall is almost here, there is plenty to do and to think about—from making a fall bucket list to decorating the home for autumn.
Fall is also an exciting time for fashion and beauty, with plenty of great products—new and old—to try. For me, fall is a great time to pull out favorite products and to look for new products and exciting fall lip and nail colors to try.
Early autumn is a good time to organize the closet, so that you can put together a few great summer to fall transitional outfits. It’s also a great time to think about skin care during the months when the air is often cold and dry.
Here are some beauty finds for the types of products that I like to use from late summer through fall, when the temperatures are high and the humidity wreaks havoc on hair, and those days when the air is suddenly chilly and dry.
From fun fall scents and colors to super hydrating products, these are the types of beauty products that can take up the precious space around the sink any time.
If you decide to try a new beauty product, it can be a good idea to do a spot test for skin sensitivity or allergic reactions. While these and other beauty products may work well for some, they may not be for everyone.

Here are some favorite beauty finds and essential products for getting through the late summer to early fall transition season, and beyond.
1—Body Cream
A good body cream can help to keep skin moisturized during the dry, cold days of fall and winter. Cocoa butter is a great moisturizer, but it’s often too heavy for everyday use. Enter this body cream with a solution for people who love the moisturizing, nourishing effects of cocoa butter, but don’t necessarily like the heaviness.
This Cocoa Butter Body Cream with Deep Nourishing Serum contains ingredients that are reported to be good for skin, like shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa seed butter, and vitamin E. The ingredients are whipped up into a body cream that looks good enough to eat—almost (the cream is not for consumption, however, it is only for use on the skin!).
The cocoa butter cream that blends into the skin without feeling too heavy, and you can also use it as a hand cream or foot cream. The lightly scented cream is a great way to pamper your skin after a bath or shower. The brand also makes a body wash and lotion in the same line.
2—Moisturizer
Weleda Skin Food is a classic moisturizing cream that is perfect to use for moisturizing hands in fall and winter. Made with plant extracts, conditioners, and moisturizing ingredients like sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, lanolin and beeswax, this is one of my favorite moisturizers of all time. It’s good to keep in a purse or backpack to use when the air is dry and your skin could use a boost of moisturizer.
3—Hair Oil
This scalp and hair strengthening oil is made with more than 30 essential oils and nutrients that may help to prevent dry scalp and smooth split ends.
4—Hair Towel
A hair towel helps to absorb moisture from the hair after a wash. It’s good for soaking up excess moisture before using a hair dryer or letting your hair air dry.
5—Nail Polish
My Italian is a Little Rusty Nail Polish
Fall is a great time to stock up on rich fall nail colors, like deep reds, greens, and other jewel tones. Warm browns (My Italian is a Little Rusty) and caramels are favorite colors, too. So is this shiny light brown color, called Fall–ing for Milan.

Colors that I’m currently enjoying or eyeing for wear this fall include this neat terracotta-ish color (Yank My Doodle), this deep orange color (It’s a Piazza Cake), a perfect olive green tone (Suzi—The First Lady of Nails), and this cool gray number (Clean Slate).

6—Hydrating Primer
It’s all about base layers when it comes to clothing and beauty products in fall and winter, and applying face primer is one of the first steps to getting a great look when you apply your makeup.
Primer creates a layer that helps to hold makeup in place, making it the foundation of a great makeup look. A hydrating primer can add an extra layer of protective skin care during fall and winter.
This primer is infused with hyaluronic acid and other ingredients to help hydrate and condition the skin.
7—Makeup Remover
A makeup remover product can be good to have for removing all your exciting fall makeup products at the end of the day. It’s generally a good idea to remove your makeup at night to give your skin a chance to breathe.
Micellar cleansing water is a classic product used for removing makeup and for cleansing the skin. It’s easy to use for removing makeup, dirt, and oil at the end of the day or when your skin needs a quick and gentle cleanse.
Melting balm can be a nourishing and hydrating way to remove makeup while conditioning the skin. This face cleanser and makeup remover is made with hyaluronic, ceramides, and peptides that help to hydrate the skin and create a moisture barrier.
8—Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must during summer, but it can also be essential to use during fall and winter, too. For us, going outside means wearing sunscreen, especially while doing fun fall activities like visiting a pumpkin patch or going hiking.
9—Lip Gloss
Lip gloss provides sheer, barely there color that can be a great look for those who like natural looking makeup. With colors that have names like Butterscotch, Cinnamon Roll, Praline, and Cranberry Pie, this non sticky lip gloss is perfect for wearing on its own or layering over your favorite lipstick during fall and winter.
10—Lip Mask
Moisturized lips are the foundation of a great look when it comes to wearing lipstick or lip gloss, or going with a natural look. A lip mask can help to hydrate and moisturize lips, keeping them soft and supple during the colder months of the year.
11—Silk Pillowcase
A silk pillowcase makes it easier to get your beauty sleep at night. Silk pillowcases are reported to have a number of hair and skin friendly benefits.
12—Hydration Bottle
Water can be one of the most important parts of a beauty regimen any time of year. Drinking water helps to keep the skin, and other parts of the body, hydrated and supple. A hydration bottle makes it easy to take your water and hydration drinks on the go this fall.
